So, on November 7th I turned 17 years old.
Despite the fact that my birthday was on a Monday this year and I had two tests and a presentation, I think it turned out pretty good. My first period class sang happy birthday to me right after announcements which was awfully nice of them, but as always, so awkward. What exactly are you supposed to do when someone sings you happy birthday? Most people, along with myself just stand or sit (depends where you're at) and awkwardly smile and giggle...I've seen others just turn their face another direction, which I might say is quite hilarious and cute, I can't believe some people get that embarrassed and shy ahah!
Call me lame, but I was so determined to have a celebrity tweet me on my birthday. I was tweeting Anderson Cooper, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian along with Jay Sean. Okay, I know you're probably thinking "puh-lease what makes you think they'll tweet you?" but hey, it was worth a shot. I knew that even if I spammed the Kardashian sisters along with Anderson Cooper, they still wouldn't notice my tweets....but I actually thought I had a good chance of getting a tweet from Jay Sean since he has read my tweets before/said my name on a livestream, sent me a signed poster and tshirt and follows me on twitter. I guess he was too busy though, just my luck huh?
However, I did get Eva Chen Bannister and Lilly Singh to message me on my birthday. They're not really celebrities, but they are well known, so either way I'm happy. Eva Chen is teen vogue's beauty editor, in my books just having her tweet me is pretty amazing. Lilly, who is also known as youtube sensation Superwoman wrote on my facebook wall.
The day I actually celebrated my birthday was on the 11th. I didn't do anything big, just went out to Boston Pizza with my girls. It was a fun night, although I didn't really like the food - way too bland for my liking... maybe it's just because I'm used to all the spices we use in Indian food. Anyways, here are a few pictures from the night. I'm the one wearing the white one shoulder type dress with black tights.
I received many compliments on my outfit that night, I'd just like to say that my friend wanted to pick my birthday outfit, so a huge shoutout to Eliza Chappel for that!
Anyhow, that's it for now. I'll probably be back very soon for a few other posts. I have a lot on my mind lately - which means a lot of new interesting posts shall be up. And I know, I forgot to do my "videos of the week" for last week and this week - my bad! I've been so caught up with school work and writing for publications that I barely have time to blog anymore - it makes me sad! I'll try my best to keep you guys updated every week!
XO
